www.spiceofhednesford.co.uk Food in here looks and tastes great. Good service and, although it’s licensed you can take your own booze if you wish. Reasonable prices. Total bill for 12 of us was £260 including the drinks. (2 courses plus sides)
Typical balti house, average prices, take your own booze etc. Some unusual items on the menu – such as chocolate curry. Tried it, liked it, couldn’t eat a whole one. try sharing. www.nessascuisine.com
Contemporary indian cuisine. Can be expensive, probably costs £70+ for 2 with a couple of drinks, but excellent food – the lamb in mine was really tender. Could be a good place for a special occasion, not the sort of
Unliscenced balti house so take your own booze. Good service, nice food and a good menu at reasonable prices. Not much room inside though. I had Lamb tikka Garlic chilli rezella – very nice. www.spiceroombirmingham.co.uk
Poor food, poor service, comedy naan. Not recommended
This restaurant was established in 1967 and is still going strong. There’s a good selection on the menu and the prices are reasonable. You don’t need to take your own booze, they’re licensed. www.asiangrill.co.uk
16 turned up for the Chinese (for a change) Xmas do at the Peninsular. £27 per head for more food than we could eat and a couple of beers each. Top quality and a good selection from the set menu.
Good turnout tonight – 13 people. Lovely meal at this unlicensed restaurant. I had the Bengal Fish curry. Beautiful! Bill came to £15 per head
Recently refurbished restaurant, used to be the Kohinoor, good food and service. Handled our table of 12 well although it’s not the roomiest place. Take your own booze, but there’s a co-op over the road. http://www.voujonrestaurant.co.uk Gave us all a
Lovely restaurant, quite large inside thanks to a conservatory on the front. Good service from friendly staff. The food was excellent, I had Massala fish followed by Lamb Tikka Punjabi (which was recommended to us) Very enjoyable and reasonably priced
